The following community members are running for the three open seats on the Winston Ridge Board of Directors:
Christian Felkl (community member since 2019)
Hello, my name is Christian, over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to serve on the ARC Committee and currently serve as its Chair. I truly appreciate the nomination and would be honored to continue serving our community as a member of the HOA Board.
I would welcome the opportunity to make a positive impact on our neighborhood and help create a community that residents are proud to call home. One of my goals is to make Winston Ridge a welcoming and appealing neighborhood for everyone-from first-time homebuyers and growing families to those looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy life.
I also believe that the best communities are built by listening to the people who live in them. I would love to hear from our residents about what they value most, what they would like to see improved, and what ideas they have for making our neighborhood even better.
Professionally, my background includes experience in the News Business, and I currently work in IT. These experiences have strengthened my skills in communication, problem-solving, organization, and working with others toward common goals.
I am excited about the opportunity to continue contributing to Winston Ridge and getting to know more of our neighbors. Thank you for your consideration and for the opportunity to serve our community.
Tracy Lowe (community member since 2023)
Hi, my name is Tracy Lowe. I am originally from New York, though I most recently hail from Maryland. There I enjoyed a long career with the federal government, in jobs primarily in computer programming and project/program management. As a result, I am highly organized, understand fiscal responsibility, understand how technology can benefit an organization, and know the value of having standardized processes and written documentation. I also know how to get things done. In my free time, I enjoy trying new activities, learning new skills, finding fun local festivals, having adventures, walking my dogs, and caring for the Plantation Activity Center Little Free Library.
I have been on the HOA Board for 4 months, having replaced John Dunning after his move from Winston Ridge. During that time I have worked on the rental amendment to the CC&Rs, organized the files and folders on the Elite website to make it easier to locate documents (still working on that one),and developed the annual meeting slide show which you will see at the September meeting. I am still learning about the inner workings of the Board, and looking for ways the operation of the Board could be more efficient and streamlined. Most of the work that I do is behind the scenes, on the computer,organizing, documenting, things which will be beneficial in the long-term, and help with knowledge transfer from Board to Board. This will make each Board more efficient, lessening the learning curve, and freeing up more time to get the important and necessary work of the Community accomplished. In my career I have had a diverse collection of jobs including writing documentation, hosting conferences,and leading projects large and small. I have very good computer and communication skills, and have worked with budgets and deadlines. I would very much like to continue my work on the Board, so please vote for me in September. I’ll see you at the annual meeting!
Kevin Saeva (community member since 2014)
I have been a proud member of our neighborhood for over 12 years, and during that time, my wife and I have had the privilege of raising our two boys in this community. We have personally experienced the significant growth and changes within our neighborhood and have seen firsthand what makes this such a special place to call home. I understand both the opportunities that growth brings and the challenges that can arise, particularly around continuity, communication, and maintaining a strong sense of community.
With more than 20 years in public education, including experience as a school administrator, I have developed strong skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration. My background includes a career in Special Education and School Administration, as well as a degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. This combination has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on leadership, financial decision-making, resource management, and serving diverse communities.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with families in communities experiencing significant growth and understand the importance of listening, communicating effectively, and balancing diverse perspectives. As a parent who has raised two children in our neighborhood, I also have a personal investment in ensuring our community remains a welcoming, connected, and well-managed place for families.
I would bring that same experience, commitment, and collaborative approach to the HOA Board, with a focus on strengthening communication, maintaining continuity, and helping our community move forward together.
