Winston Ridge Board of Directors Meetings

Good Afternoon Winston Ridge Homeowner,

We hope this email finds you well. As the Board of Directors for Winston Ridge, we want to inform you of a change in the monthly Board meetings beginning with our November 19th meeting. On the advice of counsel, there will no longer be a homeowner forum during the meetings. We have been advised the purpose of an HOA board meeting is for the board members to discuss and make decisions regarding the business of the homeowners’ association, including managing community finances, property maintenance, enforcing rules, and addressing resident concerns, essentially keeping the community running smoothly by making key decisions related to shared spaces and living standards within the neighborhood.

Please know the Board of Directors is not trying to silence homeowners. We want your voices to be heard, but monthly Board meetings are not the place for that as we have learned. We will visit the idea of holding “Town Hall meetings” which is a more homeowner driven type of meeting and will announce these in the future. This is where homeowners can speak about topics they are interested in or voice any grievances they may have. Board meetings and Town Hall meetings are designed for two different types of agendas. Once the Board decides on the dates for the Town Hall meetings, they will be distributed and published to the community. We also want to remind you that the Annual Meeting is another meeting in which homeowners’ can bring their concerns or questions to the Board of Directors. There are many avenues for homeowners to be heard, and as a Board, we want to hear from you as we are interested in your opinions, questions and concerns.

Members that have a questions or concerns that want to be heard at a monthly Board meeting can reach out by sending an email with facts only, to Amy Odom from Elite to amyodom@elite-mgmt.com. Amy will forward all emails to the Board of Directors. We will either answer the questions by directly reaching back out to the HOA member or address it at the next board meeting as long as it is received 2 weeks prior to the meeting.

Please know this change is not meant to cause any confusion, anger, contention or discord for anyone, but to get the Board meetings under control and conduct the business we have been elected to do.

Sincerely,

Winston Ridge HOA Board of Directors
