3rd Annual Halloween Decorating Contest!
Join in the fun! The Social Committee is hosting the 3rd annual Halloween decorating contest at the Ridge! Stroll around the neighboorhood and vote for your favorite spooky, decorated home from each group. First place prizes will be awarded to the house with the most votes in each group! Remember to vote for 1 home from each group! Voting begins Oct 16th and runs through the 31st Click here to vote Winners will be announced on November 11!

2023 Halloween Boo Bash
The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will host the 2023 Halloween Boo Bash Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. The Halloween Boo Bash is a free, family-oriented festival for children ages 12 and younger. This year's festivities will include a variety of ghostly games and activities, and free pumpkin giveaways - while supplies last. Costumes are optional, but best costumes may be featured on the Wake Forrest town website and social media pages. The following food and dessert trucks will be onsite during this year's Boo Bash: Lumpy's, Crazy Beans Coffee, Crumbstruction, Mamma Churros, Kettle Corn, and Smith's Smokehouse & Smoothies.
Family Hike on 10.14.23 is canceled
Unfortunately the Social Committee's family hike tomorrow (October 14) is canceled due to the impending rain. Hopefully it can be rescheduled sometime in November. Thanks for your support! Tracy Lowe
Winston Ridge Octoberfest and Chili Cook Off 10.21.2023
The Octoberfest and Chili Cook Off will be on Saturday, October 21st, we hope everyone will be able to attend. Town of Wake Forest Job Fair

Wake Forrest: Renaissance Centre to host Saturday’s Community Celebration of the Arts
The Wake Forest Public Art Commission (PAC), Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department, and ARTS Wake Forest are inviting residents to a special Community Celebration of the Arts this Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St. Free and open to the public, this family-friendly event will include food, music, and a variety of arts activities for children of all ages.

Reminder: CPR/AED Training Available in November
CPR/AED certification classes will be starting next month. The cost is $35 per person. This invaluable training starts promptly at 10am and will wrap up on or before 2pm. Please note there is a limit of 12 per class and these CPR classes will be held in the Plantation pool house, for your convenience. The Winston Ridge Social Committee will be introducing a new activity to familiarize residents with the parks, nature preserves and open spaces that are near our community. Our first activity, a family hike, will take place on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 am. We will be venturing to E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest (701 Harris Rd.) for a 1 mile interactive hike to have some fun out in the autumn air. The path we will follow is easy, flat, paved, and is suitable for strollers and wagons. This hike is especially geared toward families with smaller children, but all family members are welcome, including furry ones (it is park policy that all dogs must be on a leash).
