Stroll around the neighboorhood and vote for your favorite spooky, decorated home from each group.   First place prizes will be awarded to the house with the most votes in each group! 2023 Halloween Boo Bash

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will host the 2023 Halloween Boo Bash Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. The Halloween Boo Bash is a free, family-oriented festival for children ages 12 and younger. This year's festivities will include a variety of ghostly games and activities, and free pumpkin giveaways - while supplies last. Costumes are optional, but best costumes may be featured on the Wake Forrest town website and social media pages. The following food and dessert trucks will be onsite during this year's Boo Bash: Lumpy's, Crazy Beans Coffee, Crumbstruction, Mamma Churros, Kettle Corn, and Smith's Smokehouse & Smoothies.

The Winston Ridge Social Committee will be introducing a new activity to familiarize residents with the parks, nature preserves and open spaces that are near our community. Our first activity, a family hike, will take place on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 am. We will be venturing to E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest (701 Harris Rd.) for a 1 mile interactive hike to have some fun out in the autumn air. The path we will follow is easy, flat, paved, and is suitable for strollers and wagons. This hike is especially geared toward families with smaller children, but all family members are welcome, including furry ones (it is park policy that all dogs must be on a leash).
