Over the years, the Wake Forest Farmers Market has grown into a lively community event on Saturday mornings. From April through September, the Farmers Market operates Saturdays from 8 a.m.-noon. From October through March, it is open 10 a.m.-noon. Now located behind the Wake Forest Town Hall, along South Taylor Street, the Farmers Market offers fresh-off-the-farm produce; pasture-raised beef, poultry, and pork; free-range eggs; fresh and dried herbs; honey, jams, and preserves; fresh-cut flowers and delicious baked goods. A majority of the market's farm products are raised using environmentally sustainable agricultural practices, which are healthy for the soil, water, air, animals, and you!

Wake Forrest: Paper Shredding Event & Electronics Recycling

Free and open to the public, these occasions will offer area residents and businesses the opportunity to protect themselves from identity theft and dispose of confidential documents in an environmentally responsible manner. Residents will drive up to the shredding point, then unload their boxes and bags of paper for shredding. Please note: The paper will be shredded onsite.   Electronics Recycling offered as part of April 20 event As part of the April 20 event, residents will have the opportunity to properly dispose of items that may otherwise end up in landfills. Accepted items include, but are not limited to, laptops, servers, cell phones, mainframes, circuit boards, keyboards, VCRs, electric typewriters, and radios. If would you like an opportunity to come together as a Community to support the local community? If so, the Service Sub-Committee has an opportunity for you! The Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry schedules GROUPS of volunteers for their Saturday distribution days. The group is limited to 8 volunteers, all of whom MUST BE 16 YEARS of age or older. So who's ready to VOLUNTEER? The next available date for a Group to volunteer is Saturday, Nov 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Looking for a few more volunteers to serve! Wake Forest Cares Holiday Kickoff

Help us ring in the holiday season and launch our annual Holiday Donation Drive during the Wake Forest Cares Holiday Kick-Off on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 1-5 p.m. in downtown Wake Forest!  Free and open to the public, our Holiday Kick-Off will offer a slew of activities the entire family can enjoy, including The Carolina Hurricanes Storm Tour and Slapshot Booth, a Winter Wonderland with everyone's favorite Ice Queen and Snowman, award-winning ice carvers (ice competitions will take place at 1:15 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:45 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:15 pm in Jones Plaza) , community performances, children's craft activities, and more!   You will also have the chance to learn more about several Wake Forest Cares initiatives and how they are making a positive difference in our community.  Pictures with Santa will also be available 1:30-5 pm with advance…
