Due to the rain in the weather forecast, Winston Ridge Garden Club's May 13th meeting will be held Tuesday at the POOL HOUSE at 7pm. Paul Hawkins will lead a discussion on vegetable gardens. PARADE OF GARDENS JUNE 7th Reminder:  Please sign up to include your yard in the Parade of Gardens. Email Carol Bender at bndr100@hotmail.com. Deadline is May 17th. For this event to be successful,  residents need to include their yards in the Parade!  A time will be arranged for the people showing their gardens to preview the others' gardens.

YOUR SOCIAL COMMITTEE IS ON THE BALL   AND WE ARE TALKING BASEBALL   Join us on Friday May 30th for a Mud Cats baseball game. Tickets are $16.00 which includes your admission, 1 hot dog, 1 bottled water, & 1 ice cream, children under 3 are free. This is open to everyone, so invite your family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, I'm sure you get the idea.  This is the final season for our Mud Cats before their move to Wilson NC for the 2026 season. WR Garden Club's monthly meeting will be Tuesday, May 13 at 7p.m. The location has changed. We will meet at Paul Hawkins' backyard at 45 Meadowrue Lane.  Paul will show us his vegetable gardens and how it was all set up. His goal is to create a backyard grocery store! There will also be time for questions. Bring a chair and come join us. As of now I have 7 gardens for the Parade of Gardens on June 7th. John H. Zimmerman Memorial Bocce Tournament

The first John H. Zimmerman Memorial Bocce Tournament will be held on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, 17 May 2025, from 0900-1300 in the Pool Greenspace.  All are invited.  If you want to get a team together, you should have 4 people per team with a team name.  Medals for 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place will be award to the top 3 teams and the top team will have their team name on a plate placed on a plaque commemorating their victory. John Zimmerman is a deceased Air Force Vietnam Combat Veteran who was an active member of the Veterans Group here on Winston Ridge.  If you would like to make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation in his name, that is certainly welcome.  Please do this separately from the Bocce Tournament. …

Spring is almost here and it’s Easter time in the Ridge so get ready for our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

When: April 5th (rain date April 6th) Where: Plantation pool greenspace Start Time: 11:00 sharp….so arrive earlier Please help us make this a wonderful event again by stopping by 92 Sugarmaple and picking up some empty eggs to fill them with goodies (no chocolate please it melts when it’s hot). You can pick them up anytime now until March 31st, you can also bring your own eggs already filled. We are also looking for small donations for our Bunny Mart to help us provide even more fun prizes for the kids to trade in their empty eggs for, (small toys, treats or other fun items) these can also be dropped off and left on the porch at 92 Sugarmaple.
