Plantation Pool Ceiling Fans Are Installed

The ceiling fans have been installed. To turn on the pool house deck fans, use one switch of the double switch at the doors going out to the pool deck nearest the women's restroom. To turn on the outside fans, GENTLY push the button at the bottom of the timer located on the wall just around the corner from the clock and chair lift battery charger. Each of the two switches operates two exterior fans. Choose a time up to 60 minutes and then enjoy the breeze. The exterior fans will turn themselves off after your time selection is complete. Many thanks to Chamberlain Electrical Service for their professional services and willingness to do this attic work in this crazy hot July. They surely enjoyed the cooler weather today!

Umbrella Damage – Plantation Pool

So this is what the pool committee was trying to avoid. See, the umbrellas that are closed can survive thunderstorms. Umbrellas that are left open cannot. When I checked on the push bar yesterday evening, there were people still at the pool and umbrellas still up so, that was fine but now this morning, this. Please comment below with your ideas to get this to be the last time we have to deal with this situation. I'm at my wits end. To confirm it was, indeed, left open, the process to open it requires a key is slid into through the pole, once pulled open or it will default to fall shut. It was left open. I know, so disappointing.

Update on Plantation Pool Fob System Repairs

Dear Winston Ridge Homeowners, I wanted to provide an update regarding the ongoing issues with the fob system (Linear Emerge) at the Plantation pool. After the recent repairs, which included replacing the control panel, we found that while the issue was resolved for some homeowners, it persists for others. Unfortunately, some data remains corrupted, and we are currently unsure of the cause. The vendor contacted for the repairs is scheduled to return and perform a complete data wipe. They will then manually re-enter the data rather than using a backup as done previously. We hope this approach will fully resolve the issue. However, we will not be able to confirm the success of these repairs until residents begin using their fobs, as the issue does not affect everyone uniformly. We…

Plantation Fob System Operational

Dear Winston Ridge Owners, The fob system at the Plantation pool was repaired yesterday and should now be fully operational. Our apologies for the delay in notification. Please be mindful of the weather this weekend as you enjoy the pool facilities.Your best course of action is to get underneath the veranda and wait to resume water-based activities until at least 30 minutes after you've heard the last clap of thunder. Even if the sky is blue and you can see the sun shining, lightning is still a hazard until you've waited through this period. Thank you.

2024 Pool Season Opens this Saturday, May 11 at 9:00

The Listeria Crest pool and the Plantation Drive pool will be open for the summer season this Saturday with fobs activated for both pools at 9:00am. Please read and follow the pool rules. A few rules have been changed to for this pool season and should be noted. Please know that with the upwind construction going on in close proximity to the Plantation pool, red clay dust and dirt will be prominent at this pool until grass, sidewalks, and roads are installed and stabilize the construction site ground. We are aware that it is going to be dirty and gritty during this phase of construction and throughout the entire pool season and hope you will enjoy the pool in spite of these conditions this year. April 27 – Plantation Poolhouse deck space clean up day – volunteers needed

The pool committee would like to invite volunteers to the Plantation Poolhouse deck next Saturday, April 27, at 10:00 for a spring cleaning of the pollen covered space and furniture. We also need to move the pool deck furniture (a few of the round tables and arm chairs, all chaise lounge chairs and the little tables to the opposite side of the fence. After the clean up is done, the fobs can be turned on for perpetual enjoyment!
