To our neighbors still enjoying a chilly fall swim season: Please pardon the recent miscommunication regarding both pools being open for an extended pool season.  Our pool contract has the extended season effective only for the Plantation Pool.  Listeria Pool has been closed for the season.   With the very light use of both pools and in particular the Listeria Crest pool, we plan on repeating this contractual arrangement in the future to be mindful of maximizing your swimming enjoyment while being efficient with the use of your HOA dues.  If overcrowding becomes a problem with the Plantation Pool during the extended season, we will, of course, revisit having two pools open for an extended season.

Plantation Pool Ceiling Fans Are Installed

The ceiling fans have been installed.  To turn on the pool house deck fans, use one switch of the double switch at the doors going out to the pool deck nearest the women's restroom.  To turn on the outside fans, GENTLY push the button at the bottom of the timer located on the wall just around the corner from the clock and chair lift battery charger.  Each of the two switches operates two exterior fans.  Choose a time up to 60 minutes and then enjoy the breeze.  The exterior fans will turn themselves off after your time selection is complete.  Many thanks to Chamberlain Electrical Service for their professional services and willingness to do this attic work in this crazy hot July.  They surely enjoyed the cooler weather today!

Umbrella Damage – Plantation Pool

So this is what the pool committee was trying to avoid. See, the umbrellas that are closed can survive thunderstorms. Umbrellas that are left open cannot. When I checked on the push bar yesterday evening, there were people still at the pool and umbrellas still up so, that was fine but now this morning, this. Please comment below with your ideas to get this to be the last time we have to deal with this situation. I'm at my wits end. To confirm it was, indeed, left open, the process to open it requires a key is slid into through the pole, once pulled open or it will default to fall shut. It was left open. I know, so disappointing.

Yesterday's quick storm brought strong winds and rain.  We will see that weather pattern repeated throughout the summer.  Unfortunately, an umbrella was left open at the pool and it did not remain standing upright and open in that storm. It was also reported that the violent wind and rain action that blew the umbrella out of the table also cracked the table it was anchored to. You asked for it and the HOA Board, the Pool Committee, and these amazing neighbors have delivered! The Social Deck of the Plantation Drive pool has been washed clean of pollen and red clay dust. Your fob should now work to unlock the gates so you can hang out with friends or solo in the sunshine or under the overhang from 9am to 9pm, everyday of the year. The barrier fence to the pool is closed and locked. Do not climb over or attempt to unlock and open the gates of the barrier fence. April 27 – Plantation Poolhouse deck space clean up day – volunteers needed

The pool committee would like to invite volunteers to the Plantation Poolhouse deck next Saturday, April 27, at 10:00 for a spring cleaning of the pollen covered space and furniture. We also need to move the pool deck furniture (a few of the  round tables and arm chairs, all chaise lounge chairs and the little tables to the opposite side of the fence.  After the clean up is done, the fobs can be turned on for perpetual enjoyment!

New Lights Installed!

Now that Phase 1 - Plantation Dr. pool parking lot lights are in and shining light in the darkness. For for anyone who is wondering about illuminating the other side of the parking lot, that will be done more cost effectively by waiting for a power supply to come straight from the new street being developed (phase 2).
