Wake Forrest: Paper Shredding Event

Free and open to the public, the shred event sponsored by Skylift Garage Doors, will take place from noon-4 p.m. – or until the two paper shredding trucks are full at Flaherty Park, 1226 N. White St. Wake Forest. The occasion will offer area residents and businesses the opportunity to protect themselves from identity theft and dispose of confidential documents in an environmentally responsible manner. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, so residents are reminded to turn their clocks back one hour before bed Saturday evening. Clocks are set back one hour at 2 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1 a.m. local standard time. On the second Sunday in March, clocks will be set ahead one hour at 2 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3 a.m. Daylight Saving Time. The next clock change will be March 10, 2024

Saturday. October 21st, beginning at 4PM the Social Committee will be hosting the Chili Cook Off.  Everyone is welcome to join the FUN. There will be a prize for the BEST Chili! Please note there are still slots open if you want to join in and show off your best chili. Please RSVP by Thursday October 18th. RSVP The Social Committee will be grilling dogs and brats, so please bring a dish to share. We’ll have tents and tables set up similar to The Ridge’s May Block Party!  No beer, wine or liquor of any sort is allowed on the premises.
