Good Afternoon Winston Ridge Homeowner, We hope this email finds you well. We want to let you know that we have had the Plantation pool hours violated, with costs incurred to maintain the pool after the incident. It was discovered by our CPI cameras what appears to be 3-4 teenage individuals entering and swimming in the pool after hours on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at approximately 11:30pm. We do have pictures provided by CPI and before providing them to the Sheriff's office, we would love any information the community may have. To our neighbors still enjoying a chilly fall swim season: Please pardon the recent miscommunication regarding both pools being open for an extended pool season.  Our pool contract has the extended season effective only for the Plantation Pool.  Listeria Pool has been closed for the season.   With the very light use of both pools and in particular the Listeria Crest pool, we plan on repeating this contractual arrangement in the future to be mindful of maximizing your swimming enjoyment while being efficient with the use of your HOA dues.  If overcrowding becomes a problem with the Plantation Pool during the extended season, we will, of course, revisit having two pools open for an extended season.

Plantation Pool Ceiling Fans Are Installed

The ceiling fans have been installed.  To turn on the pool house deck fans, use one switch of the double switch at the doors going out to the pool deck nearest the women's restroom.  To turn on the outside fans, GENTLY push the button at the bottom of the timer located on the wall just around the corner from the clock and chair lift battery charger.  Each of the two switches operates two exterior fans.  Choose a time up to 60 minutes and then enjoy the breeze.  The exterior fans will turn themselves off after your time selection is complete.  Many thanks to Chamberlain Electrical Service for their professional services and willingness to do this attic work in this crazy hot July.  They surely enjoyed the cooler weather today!

Umbrella Damage – Plantation Pool

So this is what the pool committee was trying to avoid. See, the umbrellas that are closed can survive thunderstorms. Umbrellas that are left open cannot. When I checked on the push bar yesterday evening, there were people still at the pool and umbrellas still up so, that was fine but now this morning, this. Please comment below with your ideas to get this to be the last time we have to deal with this situation. I'm at my wits end. To confirm it was, indeed, left open, the process to open it requires a key is slid into through the pole, once pulled open or it will default to fall shut. It was left open. I know, so disappointing.

Dear Winston Ridge Homeowners, I wanted to provide an update regarding the ongoing issues with the fob system (Linear Emerge) at the Plantation pool. After the recent repairs, which included replacing the control panel, we found that while the issue was resolved for some homeowners, it persists for others. Unfortunately, some data remains corrupted, and we are currently unsure of the cause. The vendor contacted for the repairs is scheduled to return and perform a complete data wipe. They will then manually re-enter the data rather than using a backup as done previously. We hope this approach will fully resolve the issue. However, we will not be able to confirm the success of these repairs until residents begin using their fobs, as the issue does not affect everyone uniformly. We…

Dear Winston Ridge Owners,  The fob system at the Plantation pool was repaired yesterday and should now be fully operational. Our apologies for the delay in notification. Please be mindful of the weather this weekend as you enjoy the pool facilities.Your best course of action is to get underneath the veranda and wait to resume water-based activities until at least 30 minutes after you've heard the last clap of thunder. Even if the sky is blue and you can see the sun shining, lightning is still a hazard until you've waited through this period. Thank you.
